Child pornography charges
A man faces child pornography charges after a search of a Dartmouth residence today.
On November 25, 2016, police began an investigation after receiving information regarding online child pornography. The pornography involved pictures of a young children on a social media site.
On August 30 at 7:45 a.m., investigators in the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search of a residence on Lynwood Drive and seized number of electronic devices for forensic analysis. A man inside the residence was arrested without incident.
Forty-five-year-old Mark Christopher Church of Dartmouth appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face three counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
