A man faces charges after a search today in Dartmouth by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Earlier today, ICE investigators conducted a search of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Elmwood Avenue. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene and seized computer equipment.
Twenty-three-year-old Zachary Gordon Gardiner of Dartmouth is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on July 28 to face charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, distribution of child pornography, invitation to sexual touching and luring of a child to facilitate sexual touching. He was released from custody under conditions to not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
