Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work to repair water laterals on Barrington Street between Richmond Street and Duffus Street in Halifax will continue on Monday, Dec. 15.
Crews are on site now and due to unforeseen circumstances will continue working through the afternoon commute. One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions during rush hour.
This work will resume at 9 a.m. on Monday and continue throughout the day. There will be stop-and-go traffic while construction is going on. There will be no work during peak traffic, from 4-6 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays when this work is going on and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this continuing work may cause.
