Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that crews will be paving on sections of South Street in Halifax on Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 6.
On Friday, crews will be working from 9 a.m. until about 4 p.m. from Henry Street to LeMarchant Street. Lane drops will be in place and there will be stop-and-go traffic while this work is going on. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
On Saturday, crews will move to the block between LeMarchant and Robie Street. They will begin work at 8 a.m. and continue until the work is complete. During this time the traffic signals at the intersection of Robie and South will be shut down and traffic control personnel will be in place.
The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
