Friday, June 19, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Cow Bay Road will reopen to traffic over the weekend between Oceanlea Drive and Caldwell Road; however, that block will shut down again on Monday, June 22, to allow crews to continue connecting underground infrastructure in the area.
The closure will go back in effect at 7 a.m. on Monday and remain in place until about 7 p.m. that night. There will be a planned detour. Motorists travelling through the area should pay attention to the posted detour signage and construction crews.
This work is part of Halifax Water’s Cow Bay Road Deep Storm Sewer Upgrade Project, a joint initiative with the municipality. Cow Bay Road has been closed since late May for this project and the work is expected to continue until mid-August.
