At approximately 4:55 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, Halifax Regional Police attempted to stop a black Hyundai as it approached Pleasant Street on Hwy 111. The driver refused to stop and exited on Portland Street to Baker Drive. Due to the dangerous operation of the vehicle by the suspect police discontinued the chase.
Officers located the vehicle at the suspects residence on Lakefront Drive, Dartmouth a short time later. The suspect would not exit his residence and officers prepared a search warrant, prior to the granting of the warrant the accused surrendered to police. The accused was arrested for dangerous driving and flight from police. A 33-year-old Dartmouth man will be appearing in court Mondaymorning charged with Dangerous Driving and Flight from police.
