Death Ruled a Homicide

The death of a man whose body was found yesterday at a residence on South Street in Halifax has been ruled a homicide.

Yesterday at 10:55 p.m. officers responded to the 5200 block of South Street after a 65-year-old man was found deceased inside his residence. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy this morning and the death has now been ruled a homicide. The victim’s name is being withheld pending official identification and next of kin notification.

Investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation into this homicide. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 490-5020.
