Designated motorcycle parking in Chebucto Landing to be removed
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – HRM motorcyclists are advised that designated motorcycle parking on Thursday nights in Chebucto Landing on the Halifax waterfront will no longer be permitted.
HRM and Halifax Regional Police have determined that they cannot guarantee reasonable and safe access for emergency vehicles, ferry passengers, and service and delivery vehicles, given the increasing number of motorcycles parked onsite.
HRM will be changing parking regulation signage at Chebucto Landing this week that will only allow short term and loading area parking for pickup and delivery as originally intended for this public space.
Halifax Regional Police will be enforcing posted parking regulations beginning this week.
