Drug Charges

 Two men face charges after a drug search last night in Dartmouth.

At 10:30 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit, with the assistance of the East Quick Response Unit, executed a search at an apartment in the 0 to 100 block of Gaston Road. Officers seized a quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, hydromorphone, oxycodone and unknown pills, as well as drug paraphernalia, illegal cigarettes and cash. The men, who were in the apartment at the time of the search, were arrested without incident.

Thirty-six-year-old Brian Steven Rhynold of Dartmouth is charged with three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. Forty-one-year-old Arthur L. Adams of Dartmouth is also charged with three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking as well as breach of conditions. They were both held in custody and were scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
