Two men and three women face charges after a drug search yesterday in Halifax.

At 8:20 p.m., officers assigned to the Integrated Drug Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 0-100 block of Convoy Avenue. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash. The accused, who were in the residence at the time of the search, were arrested without incident.

Eighteen-year-old Brandon David Martell is charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation. He was held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today. An 18-year-old man, along with two 19-year-old women and a 22-year-old woman face one count each of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. They were released from custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
