At 7:40 p.m. on May 19, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of the West Quick Response Unit executed a search warrant in a unit at an apartment building on Friesian Court. As a result of the search, a substantial quantity of cocaine was seized along with drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash. Officers arrested two men without incident during the search, and a woman later turned herself in and was arrested without incident at Police Headquarters at 1:26 a.m.
Forty-one-year-old Robert Souza Walker of Halifax faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine. The charges against the other man and the woman were dropped.
