Drug Searches

Two people face charges and a third is being sought in connection with two separate drug searches by the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit and the HRP Emergency Response Team (ERT) this morning in Halifax.

At 5:42 a.m., officers conducted a search of an apartment in the 5300 block of Rector Street. No one was home and the subsequent search resulted in a quantity of marijuana, cocaine, Dilaudid, cash and drug paraphernalia being seized. Investigators are seeking a 21-year-old man in connection with this incident.

The second search took place at 5:55 a.m. at a residence in the 3600 block of Lynch Street. Investigators and ERT members arrested a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, and seized marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia. Both people face charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
