Drug and Weapons Charges

A man faces charges after a drug search last night in Dartmouth.

At 8 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit conducted a search of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Queen Street. Officers seized a quantity of crack cocaine, ecstasy and cash. A loaded shotgun was also recovered from the residence. Forty-three-year-old Ervin Russell Crowell was arrested at the scene without incident. He is facing charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of drugs, as well as numerous weapons charges and breaches of court orders. He was held overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
