At approximately 2:00 p.m. on March 26, an elderly female was walking on a path between Percy Street and Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax when she was assaulted by three people. The assault was interrupted by a white male with blonde hair who came upon it while walking on the same path. Police were not called initially but when they were the victim was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries, it is not believed the injuries are life threatening. Nothing was taken from the victim and no weapons were seen.
The suspects are described as two white males dressed in black between 18-25 years of age and a darker skinned female of similar age.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident or the male who interrupted the assault to call police at 902-490-5020.
