A number of officers were called to the scene at a forest fire in the area of Purcells Cove and Williams Lake Road in Halifax at approximately 4:15 p.m. Purcells Cove Road is being evacuated from Halls Road to Ocenview Drive at this time and no vehicle traffic is being allowed in the area. Halifax Regional Municipality and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency are handling communications regarding the fire.
