It has been determined that the origin of a blaze at a Halifax commercial property last weekend is suspicious and police have commenced an arson investigation.
On September 14 at 7:50 a.m., Halifax Fire & Emergency and police responded to a fire at 5426 Portland Place. The blaze destroyed most of the commercial property.
The investigation has been handed over to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
