Halifax Regional Police is investigating after a foreign object was found in an egg carton.
Yesterday, a woman called police to report that she had found a razor blade inside a carton of eggs she had bought from a vendor at the Alderney Landing Farmer’s Market on May 23. The eggs were packaged in a regular carton. The vendor typically uses cartons that have been returned by their customers.
We ask that anyone who finds any foreign objects in food or food packaging to refrain from throwing out the food item, foreign object or any packaging the food was in when purchased. Please report the incident to police so it can be investigated.
