On August 1 at 9:55 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call in the area of Rutledge and Pleasant Streets in Bedford. We received information that a female victim was walking in the 100 block of Rutledge Street when she was approached from behind by a male suspect whom she believed had a gun. The suspect demanded money and personal effects and made off with a sum of money and some personal effects. Containment was set up but K9 members were unable to locate the suspect. The female victim was not injured during the incident and that matter remains under investigation. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10-6' with an average build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and dark Nike sneakers.
