At 9:40 p.m., West Division officers responded to an alarm at Needs Convenience store, 33 Herring Cove Road in Halifax. A male suspect entered the store and threatened the male employee with syringes and demanded money. No cash was obtained and the suspect fled the area on foot. No one was injured during the incident. A K-9 unit attended and conducted a track but the suspect wasn't located. The suspect was described as a dark skinned man, 30 to 35-years-old, heavy set, 5’8, with a full beard, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a dark ball cap with white on the brim.
