At 5:45 p.m. members of the East Division Quick Response Unit observed a suspicious vehicle in the 0-100 block of Pinecrest Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and three people were taken into custody without incident. A 25-year-old Dartmouth man was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. He was held in police custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court tomorrow morning to nine weapons related offences and one breach of probation order. The other two people were released without charges.
