At 2:50 am police responded to report of a taxi driver being assaulted on Victoria Road in Dartmouth. The taxi was transporting three people, one man and two women. When the taxi driver asked the suspect to leave the taxi the man proceeded to damage the taxi by kicking the front end. The taxi driver approached the suspect and was kicked, fell to the ground and was kicked again by the male suspect. The suspects then fled on foot. The taxi driver was transported to hospital for assessment. The suspects were described as a white male wearing shorts and two white females in their thirties. The matter remains under investigation.
