At approximately 9 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Petro Canada Station, 231 Herring Cove Road. A man wearing a ski mask entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk, making a motion to an object inside his jacket. The clerk handed over a quantity of cash and the suspect fled on foot towards Layton Road. No weapon was seen and no injuries occurred during the incident. A K-9 unit conducted a track and recovered some discarded clothing believed to be worn by the suspect. The suspect was described as a white man, 18-25 years-old, slim build, 5’6”-5’9”, wearing a blue ski coat, jeans and black ski mask.
