At 10 p.m., police received a report of four to five gun shots fired in the area of the 100 block of Chain Lake Drive in Halifax. A witness heard the shots and observed a Buick Rendezvous leaving the area, driving in the wrong lane on Chain Lake Drive. This vehicle was located by police a short while later at a residence in the vicinity. The vehicle had been struck in the rear by several bullets. The male driver and male passenger of the vehicle were not injured during the incident. They reported that they had been near the corner of Suzie Lake Crescent and Chain Lake Drive when a small beige car, possibly a Honda, pulled behind them and shot at their vehicle. They fled the area and drove to their residence. Bullet casings were located on the road in the area of Suzie Lake Crescent and Chain Lake Drive. The matter remains under investigation by the Integrated HRP/RCMP General Investigative Section. At this stage of the investigation this does not appear to be a random act.
