GO #12-156694 - Youth Arrested in Dartmouth Robbery

On Friday, October 26 at approximately 2  p.m. members of Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that occurred on  Mic Mac Boulevard, near the bus stop adjacent to the Zellers location of Mic Mac  Mall. Upon arrival, police located two 14-year-old male youths who stated they  had been robbed of cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash by another  group of young males whom they had met on a bus (Bus # 56). During the course  of the incident, a handgun was displayed and one of the victims was punched in  the face. The suspects were last seen heading towards Zellers. The group of suspects  was described as black males, in their teens, several wearing red hoodies and  all wearing hats.

Police did a search of the area and were able to locate and  identify one suspect. A 16-year-old male youth from the North Preston area was  arrested and is facing charges of theft, possession and breach of probation. He  has been released from custody pending his court appearance on Nov. 8 in  Halifax Provincial Youth Court.
