At 6:48 a.m., police responded to a report of two male youths attempting to break into vehicles in the area of First Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, witnesses directed responding officers to 2 the suspects who were waiting at a bus stop. The suspects were detained and questioned. They were subsequently found to be in possession of stolen property and a significant amount of coins. A 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both of Halifax, have been held and will appear in court on November 5 to face theft, possession of stolen property, property damage, obstruction and violation of probation charges.
