At 6:44 p.m., police responded to a robbery which occurred on Mount Hope Avenue in Dartmouth. Two male victims were walking when five to six males began to follow them and demanded their backpacks and electronic items. One suspect had a knife in his hand. He punched one of the victims in the face, cracking several of the victim's teeth. The second victim was knocked to the ground and punched. Both victims were treated by EHS at the scene. Four youths observed on Pleasant Street by officers responding to the area were taken into custody but released. Descriptions were provided for two of the suspects. Suspect number 1 is described as a black male, 15 to 16- years-old, thin build, wearing a red sweater. Suspect number 2 is described as a young white male, 6'1", with dark hair and wearing a red shirt. The matter remains under investigation by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section.
