At 12:10 a.m., police responded to a weapons-related complaint in the 0-100 block of Canso Lane. A 38-year-old woman reported being threatened with a gun by a man known to her. The victim fled the area unharmed and contacted police. The residence and surrounding area has been contained by police. The Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team is currently on scene and will be executing a search warrant on the residence. It is believed the 35-year-old male suspect remains alone inside the residence. A 40-year-old woman was recently taken into custody in the area. It is believed she was also involved in the incident. An update will be issued later this morning.
