At 11 p.m. , three 14-year-old boys were walking near the intersection of Pepperell and Preston Streets in Halifax when they were confronted by two white males believed to be in their late teens. The suspects singled out one of the youths and questioned him as to what his backpack contained, and eventually pushed the victim to the ground and took his backpack. The suspects were wearing black winter jackets with their hoods up, and were last seen leaving the area towards Linden Street.  The victim was uninjured during this incident and returned home to report the crime to his parents who called police.
