At 5:45 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Portland Street and Manor Drive to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle which fled the scene. A 22-year-old man was proceeding west across Manor Drive when he was struck by a vehicle turning right from Portland Street. He fell to the ground sustaining minor injuries and went to Dartmouth General Hospital for further treatment. The suspect vehicle was followed by a witness to the area of Oathill Crescent and Celtic Drive. The vehicle was described as a beige Cheverolet Malibu or Impala. Investigators are checking different possibilities of the plate provided as it did not match the vehicle.
