Shortly before 8 a.m., a man entered the Needs Convenience Store on Queen Street in Halifax. The suspect approached the clerk, produced a knife and demanded cash. The employee refused and called police. The suspect fled the store. Numerous officers and a K-9 unit attended to search for the suspect without success. The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern man, 25-years-old, 5'10", skinny with crooked teeth. He was wearing a puffy green winter jacket with brown sleeves, a brown toque with a Toronto Maple Leafs logo on the front, blue track pants with stripes on the side and white sneakers. The matter remains under investigation
