GO# 12-55785 - Police Investigate Suspicious Death

At 2:39 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, Halifax Regional Police responded to an assault call in the 2100 block of Gottingen Street. When police arrived, a male was lying in the street bleeding. A witness who saw the victim on the street stopped to provide assistance and provided details of a suspect who was fled the area on foot. K-9 members attended and located a 32-year-old man in the vicinity hiding in an alley. He is currently in police custody.

The male victim died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

 Integrated HRP/RCMP Major Crime members and Forensic Identification members are attending to continue the investigation.
