At 11 a.m., a hiker reported that he discovered remains he believed to be human along a hiking trail near Fox Lake, behind Kearney Lake off of Belle Street and Collins Road. Patrol officers attended and secured the scene. Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime unit and Forensic Identification Unit, along with members of the Medial Examiners Office, attended the scene. At this time, It is believed the remains have been there for some time. Investigators will most likely be present overnight.
