At approximately 6:50 p.m., police were notified of a person armed with a pellet hand gun driving a stolen vehicle recklessly in the Kennedy Drive area of Dartmouth. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle but the driver drove away as the officers attempted to pull the vehicle over. A short time later, the same vehicle was observed in the downtown area of Halifax continuing to drive in a reckless and dangerous fashion that ultimately led to a collision with another vehicle at the 5 corners intersection in Halifax. There were no injuries in relation to this collision. Officers followed the vehicle from the scene of the collision to the area of West Street where the members boxed in the car to prevent the driver from driving away. The driver, a 26-year-old Dartmouth man, was arrested and held for morning court to face a series of driving and weapons related charges.
