At approximately 2:20 a.m. a pedestrian was attempting to cross Brunswick Street near Carmichael Street and had activated the overhead crosswalk lights but not yet entered the marked crosswalk. At this time, a vehicle travelling west on Carmichael Street jumped the curb and struck the pedestrian who was still on the sidewalk. Officers arrested the male driver who faces charges of impaired driving. The pedestrian was not injured as a result of the accident.
