Police responded to a call of a man impersonating a police officer at an apartment building in the 700 block of Windmill Road. The suspect was not on scene when police arrived but a short time later, the suspect arrived at the apartment building and was taken in to custody without incident. A subsequent search of the suspect’s vehicle and apartment by the HRP/RCMP General Investigation Unit led to the seizure of a small taser, numerous replica firearms and clothing with police markings. A 45-year-old man was taken into custody and will be attending Dartmouth Provincial Court tomorrow morning to face a charge of impersonating a police officer as well as several weapons related offenses.
