At approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to an assault call. A 21-year-old man was walking on Park Avenue in Dartmouth when he encountered a group of eight-nine males and females. Two males from the group approached the victim and began to assault him. He was punched, kicked and knocked to the ground. During the assault, the two suspects took the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The two suspects then rejoined the group and they all walked away. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This was not a random incident as the suspects were known to the victim. The suspects have not yet been located by police and the matter is still under investigation.
