At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a call of a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of Purcell’s Cove Road. It appears that a motorcycle carrying two people was travelling inbound on Purcell’s Cove Road when it failed to negotiate a turn and struck a guardrail. Both passengers were thrown off of the motorcycle, over the guardrail and down an embankment. HRM Fire and Emergency and EHS also attended the call. The two people on the motorcycle, a 21-year old man and a 19-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.
