Update (12:03 p.m.)As a result of the ongoing investigation, 23-year-old Shacawn Clayton of Halifax has been charged with attempted murder and will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court on September 23rd, 2013.
Police Report - September 21, 2013GO #13-138529 - Assault - At 4:21 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Queen Street and Morris Street. Officers located a 28-year-old man who had been assaulted by several people. The victim was transported to the QE2 with serious head injuries. He is presently in the ICU in serious condition. Three men, all in their early 20s, were arrested near the scene and are presently in custody. Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime and General Investigation sections are continuing the investigation.
