At 6:48 p.m. on October 22, officers responded to a call of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in the 700 block of Young Avenue. Information gathered from witnesses indicates that a small white car and a motorcycle were travelling north on Young Avenue at a high rate of speed. The motorcyclist lost control and struck a parked vehicle. The small white vehicle continued on without stopping. There were two occupants on the motorcycle, a 33-year-old man who was driving and a woman who was the passenger. The driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the motorcycle was not injured. The small white car has not yet been located and the matter is still under investigation.
