On October 26 at 12 a.m., officers responded to the area of Highfield Park Drive to a report of an attempted robbery. Two 21-year-old men were followed by three young men after leaving a local convenience store. The suspects requested a light for a cigarette and then demanded that the victims empty their pockets. The victims refused and the suspects produced a baseball bat and a chemical irritant spray. Neither weapon was used, and the suspects fled on foot empty-handed. The victims were not injured during the incident. The suspects are described as young black males, late teens to early 20’s, wearing dark clothing.
