On October 29 at 3:34 a.m., officers responded to a break and enter call in the 1200 block of South Park Street in Halifax. A woman woke up and discovered a man rummaging through her belongings in her bedroom. He fled the apartment when he realized she was awake. The woman was not injured during this incident but her purse and personal identification were missing. The suspect was described as an older white man wearing a winter hat, khaki pants and a scarf. While searching the area for the suspect, the victim's purse was located in the vicinity of the apartment and a male suspect was located hiding under a staircase. A forty-five-year-old man was taken in to police custody and the investigation is continuing.
