At 7:30 p.m. on November 22, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a weapons call in the area of the Halifax Ferry Terminal. According to the 16-year-old male victim, he and a friend were exiting the ferry terminal when they met two other males who were known to them. The four males were talking when an altercation ensued. During this altercation, one of the males produced a knife and threatened the victim. The two males then left the area on foot. The victim and his friend were not injured. A short time later the suspect, who is 18-years-old, was arrested in the area but the knife was not recovered. The suspect will attend Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face a charge of assault with a weapon.
