At approximately 5:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a fire at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency had been dispatched to that location to extinguish a wooden playground boat that appeared to have been deliberately set on fire causing extensive damage. Several witnesses reported seeing a group of youths, aged 16 to 17, comprised of four males and one female, fleeing the area. Officers searched the area and quickly located a group of youths fitting the description provided by witnesses. They were questioned and released.
