At 10:12 a.m., police responded to a miscellaneous circumstances call in the 0-100 block of Purcell’s Cove Road in Halifax. Officers were advised that a yacht had been taken from this location sometime in the early morning hours without the owner’s permission or knowledge and had been run ashore nearby. The people responsible for taking the yacht are still at large. Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are currently investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 490-5016.
