Police received a report of a woman in possession of a firearm travelling from Lower Sackville to Halifax in a vehicle. At 7:06 p.m. patrol officers and officers assigned to the East Quick Response Unit conducted a traffic stop near Wyse Road and Dawson Street in Dartmouth. A 22-year-old woman was arrested without incident at the scene and a handgun was located in her possession. She will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court tomorrow morning to face numerous weapon charges.
