GO #13-55828 - Robbery

At 7:20 p.m., police responded to the JYSK home decor store in Dartmouth Crossing to a report of a robbery.  Staff reported a man entered the store and demanded they put money into a bag he was carrying.  The man eventually reached into the cash register, removed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.  No weapon was observed and the man did not threaten or injure the staff.  He was observed getting into what was described as a red Ford Fusion sedan that left the area heading towards Wright Avenue.  A license plate was obtained but the plate was verified as stolen.   The suspect is described as a black man, 35-40-years-old, 180-210 lbs., 6', with a thin goatee, wearing a dark green and blue baggy coat with a hood.   Halifax Regional Police are requesting that anyone with information about this incident  to contact police at 490-5016.
