At approximately 6:30 a.m., East Division patrol officers responded to a driving complaint in the area of Gaston Road and Lacombe Drive in Dartmouth after receiving Information that a vehicle was driving erratically and dangerously in the area. Upon arrival, officers located an abandoned Dodge truck with front end damage that had been run into a mobile home causing some damage to the home, yard and driveway. An interior check of the vehicle revealed evidence of drinking. Several leads were tracked down and with the combined efforts of HRP East Division officers and Cole Harbour RCMP patrol officers, a 19-year-old man from the Minesville area was arrested. The accused has been released to appear in court at a later date. He will face charges of impaired driving, property damage, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
