At 7 p.m. on Saturday night (May 11), patrol officers responded to an alarm call at 6265 Quinpool Road in Halifax. Officers observed damages to the front door of a law office in the complex. Upon investigation they could hear someone inside. The suspect attempted to flee from the scene on foot and was pursued by officers. A 49-year-old man was arrested without incident after a brief foot chase and the property he had stolen was recovered. He faces charges of break and enter, resist police, possession of stolen property and possession of break and enter tools.
