At 11:23 p.m., two officers observed a black Dodge Caliber being driven in the area of Pinecrest Drive and Albro Lake Road. The driver failed to indicate two turns. The officers stopped the vehicle, which contained the male driver and three male passengers, on Pinecrest Drive. The officers detected a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and arrested all of the occupants. Officers searched the men and one of the rear passengers was found to have a loaded handgun tucked into the waistband of his pants. A 22-year-old man is being charged with numerous weapons offences and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court tomorrow.
