At approximately 7:06 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a hit and run involving three adult cyclists. According to the cyclist, they were travelling outbound in the 1300 block of Old Sambro Road when they were passed by a white van which struck the lead cyclist knocking him to the ground. One of the other cyclists then ran into the downed bike. The van continued on the Old Sambro Road outbound. It is unclear if the driver of the van was aware that a cyclist was struck. None of the cyclists reported any serious injuries.
The vehicle is described as a white panel van with no rear windows and a roof rack on the top. Police ask the driver of the van or anyone else who might have been in the area at the time of the collision who has yet to speak with police to call 490-5020.
